What are baldfaced hornets?

What do they look like?
Baldfaced hornets are larger than yellow jackets, the workers average about ¾ of an inch in length with the queens being a bit larger. Baldfaced hornets have a distinctive color pattern; they are black in color with a white head and 3 white strips on the back of their body.
